Homonyms 4 (Difficult)

Lesson Objective:

    In pairs, students read hints to their partners to identify pairs of homonyms (usually called homophones). While they are doing that, they will also be building their vocabulary, listening and spelling skills. For example:

      Student A: breakfast food.
      Student B: in sequence person.

    Together they think of all the synonyms they can to find one pair of words with the same pronunciation.

    In this case, the answers are:
      cereal breakfast food
      serial in sequence.

    There are a total of 18 paired homonyms on this worksheet.
